Minecraft: Online Game Of A New Generation

I'm going to start off saying, " This game kicks ass!" Just trying to get away to write this article was tough without alt-tabbing to slay a horde of monstrous creatures, Build a mighty fortress able to withstand the forces of hell itself, or building some giant 8-bit Mario on top of the ocean in front of the castle, like the Colossus of Rhodes Guarding the harbor in 280 BC. I have really enjoyed making this article!

Graphics:
Personally, I love them! It takes me back to my days of playing with Lego's imagining I'm a knight or some mystical force controlling the fate of countless lives on a toy box battlefield. The blocky atmosphere really fits once you get into the game, you barely realize how it all just blurs together. Another great part of the graphics, is that the community has a vast supply of easily applied texture packs to enhance your game environment-- personal rating 5/5

Gameplay:
Think of it as a game where if you can imagine it, you can build it. The game has a bunch of different blocks in which to do this with. These blocks can represent different materials ranging from tree leaves to a record player, to the more basic dirt and stone. If you can entertain yourself in a game without real direction, you will have fun for hours and after those hours are up? You're only half way to thinking about being bored with it.-- personal rating 5/5

Music:
Another great aspect of the game! the music, created by Daniel "C418" Rosenfeld puts you into such an aspect with the game. You may find yourself role playing a mountain man out west in the 1800's. How about a hermit, dabbling in red stone magic far away from the light of day? Maybe you envision yourself as a rugged miner, looking for that large deposit of gold far beneath the surface of the planet. No matter what it be, the music just takes you to that mindset where you can let your imagination flow. -- personal rating 5/5

About The Creator:
Minecraft was created by the Indie developer Markus "Notch" Persson. Born in 1979, He started coding at the age of seven, working on many small projects and even co-creating the online hit "Wurm Online". Even with all the fame and awards won with Minecraft, "Notch" is still able to show its the fans and industry he cares the most about. He is the epitome of what a game developer should be. Showing that he can take on the market and win verse the large developing giants. I commend him on what he created and how he is the first sign of a ever evolving market, making   Minecraft a milestone and a classic for years to come.

Overall Rating:
5/5

  10. There is a creative mode that is free, but its not the actual game. more of just a showcase for the engine and building style. http://www.minecraft.net/play.jsp is the classic version. that should work..
