Zelda Characters - A Quick Overview Of The Main Players In The Zelda Universe

Zelda
lately, I've been on kind of a Zelda kick. Well I figured I should add a little back story for those of you that don't know who the main players are. ( as if that's even possible)
Link
The popular video game series "The Legend of Zelda" has been going since the first game was released in 1987, and shows no signs of slowing down, with new games in the pipeline. There are a great many of recurring Zelda characters that appear throughout the series, and I'm going to look at a few.
Link is the main playable character in every game, and is the most well-recognised of all of the Zelda characters. Link is a young Hylian boy, who lives in the world of Hyrule (the place where all the Zelda games take place). Link's main aim in most of the games is to save the Princess Zelda, who is usually captured by the evil Ganon. Ganon is Link's arch enemy, and is the traditional 'last boss' in many of the games. To defeat Ganon, Link must first acquire the legendary Master Sword. Link can be identified as wearing a green tunic, a green hat, and long, brown boots.
Ganondorf
Princess Zelda is part of the royal family of Hyrule, and can be seen wearing long dresses and a crown/tiara. In most games, Zelda manages to get herself kidnapped, and requires Link to save her. In the 'Ocarina of Time', Zelda is seen to have magical powers, where she transforms herself in to the 'Sheik', and aids Link in his quest to defeat Ganon.
Ganon, also known as Ganondorf Dragmire, is the main antagonist of the Zelda series. Ganon, like many of the Zelda characters, has two forms. In his human-like form, he wields a huge sword, and is the leader of the Gerudo people, who live in the desert. In his beast form, he appears to look more like a wolf. He can be identified by wearing all black, and by having orange hair. Ganon's aim is to rule Hyrule, and to do this he must recover the three pieces of the legendary Tri-Force.
